HI-TRON Mainz welcomes State Secretary Dr. Tamara Müller

Today, we were delighted to welcome State Secretary Dr. Tamara Müller of the "Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Weiterbildung und Gesundheit (MWWG)" for her inaugural visit.

The State Secretary used the visit to get to know the institute, its foundation trustee the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ), and learn about its research topics. 

She met with Prof. Dr. Niels Halama, the HI-TRON Mainz and DKFZ administration and members of the scientific team. 

We were also pleased that Prof. Dr. Georg Krausch, President of Johannes Gutenberg-University, as well as Prof. Dr. Ralf Kiesslich, and Prof. Dr. Daniela Krause, members of the UMC Board of Directors, joined the exchange.

During a tour, State Secretary Dr. Müller got a glimpse into Building 911 at the University Medical Center Mainz, where HI-TRON Mainz is housed, and visited the nearby new HI-TRON Mainz building which is currently under construction. 

There, she gained insights into the research infrastructure and the future opportunities that the expansion of the site will create for cancer research and the transfer of scientific findings into clinical practice. 

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to State Secretary Dr. Tamara Müller for her visit and her keen interest in the work of HITRON Mainz. We look forward to continued dialogue in pursuit of our shared goal of advancing scientific excellence.
